Manufacturing Sculptures for ECCO x RAL7000 Studio Photoshoot
In collaboration with Republikken Create, we undertook the challenging task of constructing intricate sculptures for the photoshoot of ECCO Shoes' latest collection, developed in partnership with RAL7000 Studio.
Our role was to figure out how to build these complex, "out of this world" structures and ensure they were ready for the diverse terrains required for the photoshoot.
The project began with rapid planning, where we devised a strategy to "slice" the designs and prepare the CAD files for production. This involved determining the most efficient methods for fabricating and assembling the various parts.
One of the standout pieces was a large sculpture that combined 3D-printed elements with CNC-milled wood parts. This blend of materials allowed us to create a structure that, at first glance, appeared like a computer-engineered image brought to life. The precise assembly of these components resulted in a visually stunning and structurally sound piece, perfectly aligning with the futuristic aesthetic of the collection.
Additionally, a striking silver structure was created, 3D printed from multiple components, carefully assembled, and painted to achieve a polished metal finish. This sculpture not only captivated visually but also performed flawlessly in the varied photoshoot environments.
This case highlights our ability to transform complex designs into tangible, high-quality structures through expert manufacturing and innovative problem-solving.
